Stretched canvas pictures are wrapped around the edges of stretchers, so there is no need for a picture frame.

Prints on paper are UV-coated as well.

What is giclee?

Giclee is the name for a particular printing method specifically used to produce fine art reproductions. The key factors you need to know are: Giclee is a French word meaning to spurt because it employs an inkjet printer, which spits the pigmented ink at the paper or canvas substrate. Giclee inks differ substantially from offset lithographic printing inks used exclusively in the commercial printing industry. Giclee prints are the territory of fine art printing. They are used for gallery and museum exhibitions, limited editions, and private collections. One critical difference between the two inks is longevity. Offset ink has a shelf life of 12 months, whereas giclee inks can live 200 years plus if properly cared for.
